INTERIOR DESIGN COMPETITION

INSPIRED BY THE HEY-DAY OF BLOOMSBURY

Following on from the incredible success of last years art competition, this year Atelier Tammam invited artists and designers to redesign the interior of our couture show room in the heart of Bloomsbury.

We are launching a new product to captivate a wider audience; to accommodate our new line we will redesign the showroom, as always focussing on creativity, innovation, sustainability and ethics. We were looking for the cream of new design talent in

London to help us.

THE COMPETITION

We are looking for new designs for the showroom based around the theme of the ‘Heyday of Bloomsbury’; The area we inhabit has an incredible history in literature and known for it’s exuberant parties and forward thinking residents.

We are looking for designs that are inspired by this heritage and play on the idea of our contemporary products being created via an old fashioned medium.

Keep in mind the showroom needs areas dedicated to all our offerings; Haute Couture evening gowns, couture bridal wear, couture day wear and tailoring and another for our new line of day dresses. It also needs to fit a changing area and should incorporate at least some of our existing furniture: Two cupboards, a glass display cabinet, a wooden cabinet and a dressing table.

All materials to be used must be reclaimed, eco or sustainable, please note where you will get them from and what makes them eco.

The space is 4.4m x 5.9m x 2.6m (height) with two 1.9m x 1.4m windows, and has one a door at the front and a door to the studio at the back, see attached document for plan.

There are three categories to enter;

1. Full redesign of the showroom and shop area

2. Design a significant installation or decorative furniture/feature piece that would befit our eco-couture house, including placement within the showroom

3. Design a wallpaper (hand illustration or CAD)

THE WINNERS
